Owner's Voice Vol.14 F Residence Part 2

"How lovely!" Enchanted by the shimmering Swarovski

This is a quiet residential area in Osaka City.
Ms. F lives with his two children and their dog in a newly completed three-story modern house.
The two grown children have their own rooms with a kitchen and bathroom on the top floor, and live with Mr. F, who occupies the second floor, at a good distance from them.
In the second part of this interview, we asked Ms. F about his passion for his home and his thoughts on the kitchen.

"How lovely!" Enchanted by the shimmering Swarovski

It all started with a Swarovski door handle.

Before living in this house, Ms. F lived on the upper floor of a building he owned nearby.
It was like a home and office, and employees came and went frequently, so it was hard for me to switch between on and off.
So we decided to build a house on a nearby plot of land.

The spacious LDK, with bright sunlight streaming in through the south window, is based on a white color scheme with effective use of blue, creating a cozy atmosphere that is both dignified and relaxing.
For the kitchen, which overlooks the entire space, Toyo Kitchen Style's high-end model "iNO I-LAND" was chosen, which makes "Zero flow" possible.
I really like this kitchen.
I especially like the door handles, which are fully decorated with Swarovski.
When we started thinking about building a house, an acquaintance told us about this door handle, and when we saw it in the showroom, we thought, "How wonderful! I fell in love at first sight. That's how I started building my kitchen," he says.
For Ms. F, who has always liked sparkling things, the Toyo Kitchen Style design was a perfect fit.
Before even visiting other showrooms, she decided to choose this one for her kitchen.
Just like matching a dress with her favorite jewelry, she chose "VFB (Swarovski specification)" for the door handle on the living room side, and selected a "quilt" design for the door to match.
The result is the modern and elegant "iNO I-LAND.

Toyo Kitchen Style responds to the request of "I don't want to put a refrigerator and shelves.

In the process of building the kitchen, Ms. F was particular about not wanting to put a refrigerator or cupboards in the kitchen.
He said, "I don't like having things that have a lived-in feel out in the open, and I also wanted to keep the space large and neat for my dog.
When we discussed this with the showroom staff, they suggested the idea of a built-in refrigerator and freezer in the kitchen.
We also discovered that the iNO has a lot of storage space, and we could store cooking utensils, dishes, and ingredients in the drawers under the sink, under the work area, and under the stove, which solved our initial problem.

In fact, the drawers in iNO are 65 cm deep, 18 cm wider than those in most kitchens, so even large pots and pans can be easily inserted and removed.
Moreover, the drawers can open up to 65 cm without stopping halfway, making it easy to take out items that have been placed in the back.
Combined with the functionality of PARALLELO Sink, which completes all cooking tasks such as washing, cutting, and serving in the sink, Zero flow kitchen is a brilliant and versatile product.

All of our requests were fulfilled.
I feel that our encounter with Toyo Kitchen Style, which started with Swarovski, was a true match made in heaven.

Even reflected light is utilized to connect sparkles.

After selecting the kitchen, Mr. F worked on the interior design of the living room.
After much thought and consideration, we chose the "TSUDOI Sofa" and the crystal glass lighting "Calipso" to unify the kitchen and the living room.
Both were suggested by a stylist at the Osaka showroom.
He has a great sense of style and always gives us advice that goes beyond our imagination.
For example, we have smoked glass on the entire back of the kitchen, because the sunlight coming in through the window reflects off the glass and into the living room, making the crystal lights shine brighter.
I took their advice and had the architectural firm do it that way, and it really works.
The lights sparkle beautifully even when the lights are not on during the day.

True to  F's words, "Calipso," which combines three sizes (100 cm, 65 cm, and 50 cm in diameter), brings a rippling glow of light to the ceiling even during the day.
In addition, the "Chumi sofa" placed below it has the same leg design as the "iNO," yet the rhythmic stitching is in perfect harmony with the "quilt" design.
The world view of the kitchen is beautifully connected to the living room.

The children are grown, so we usually have our meals separately, but on weekends we have dinner together on this sofa while watching TV.
At night, the glow of the lights is even more beautiful and relaxing.

The fun of fitting yourself into a design that fascinates you.

Ms. F says he feels elegant when he is in this room.
We asked Ms. F about the appeal of iNO.
First of all, when I choose something, I don't hesitate too much; I just take a quick look and buy what I like.
I don't hesitate when choosing something, and I buy what I like at a glance.
This has happened to me often in the past, so when I shop, I try to choose the first thing that attracts me," he says.

The kitchen, sofa, and lighting were all chosen according to his own sense of style.

This kitchen in particular is different in style from most, being almost twice as deep as most, and the cutting board is inside the sink, which makes cooking in the sink unique.
At first, I thought, 'How am I supposed to use this? (laughs).
(Laughs) But I think that's the charm of this kitchen, and I enjoy trying to fit in with it.
I am the type of person who values design, and I don't want to cook in a place I don't want to cook in.
So, if I find a shape that I like, I give priority to it and try to fit myself into it.
I enjoy the process of doing so.

This room seems to have both sophistication and playfulness, just like Ms. F's personality.

[Profile] Mr. F
Mr. F is a big dog lover. His day starts with taking care of his seven dogs. There is a 25-meter wide balcony in the LDK on the second floor, which we use as a dog run, and let them play freely every day. The "gathering sofa" in the living room is also a favorite of the dogs.
In the near future, a photo studio for pets is also planned.
